A first class cinema – that moves! This was an extremely interesting project to be involved in. The brief was to design, assemble and supply a mobile cinema system capable of captivating the people of Sedbergh and district. This meant the use of a large ‘Fastfold’ screen with a very bright and detailed event projector from Sanyo, which is transported in a custom made flight case. Audio for the films was reproduced using a compact PA system from German manufacturer Fohhn, which sounds simply awesome! A Denon Pro DVD player was supplied mounted in the custom flight case built by 5-Star along with a rack-mount mixer from Australian Monitor and a custom built, fully labelled patch bay. All cables were custom made and enabled the system to be set-up in a number of different configurations, depending on the venue. The system was set-up and demonstrated to a truly impressed client, who is now in the process of making sure the people of Sedbergh & District know about and therefore enjoy their wonderful new Mobile Cinema.
