![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Warehouse Cafe is a relatively small cafe/meeting space/cinema. Soundsmith designed, supplied and installed a complete cinema system for this venue. The cafe is part of the Brewery Arts Centre, a large venue/exhibiton complex, the BAC asked us to design a subtle, integrated cinema system which would produice professional results for paying members of the public. As usual, we also made sure that the system was a doddle to operate for the staff on-site. We specified an acoustically transparent Draper 16:9 projection screen, EIKI 16:9 projector, Denon playback and processing, amplification from QSC and JBL Control series speakers together with a thumping REL active subwoofer. All of the front speakers (including the Sub) are mounted behind the perforated projection screen, which not only looks more discreet, but also provides true “cinema sound” as you would hear it in a large commercial screen. The projector is discretely ceiling mounted, using a Unicol close-mount bracket and the equipment rack is concealed in a lockable & ventilated custom made cabinet. A totally separate, yet integrated PA system was also installed alongside the cinema system, to facilitate live performance within the space. As is often the case, we liaised with the architect, joiners and electricians on this project to produce a stunning, integrated and easy to use professional cinema system. |
